Our History
Tower Grove Pride started as a block party in 2012, with an estimated attendance of 1,000. Each year, the footprint of the event grew to include more side blocks of South Grand to accommodate additional vendors, activities, and --most importantly -- people! With a record attendance in 2017, the festival was moved to Tower Grove Park in 2018 and now has plenty of room to grow.
In 2019, an anticipated 10,000 attendees will gather to continue the tradition of a people-powered pride celebration that empowers the LGBTQIA+ community and promotes diversity, unity and togetherness. We can't wait to see you at the park!
Tower Grove Pride is organized under the Fifty Roses Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to raise awareness for other non-profits and causes that improve quality of life in the St. Louis region. Rick Ruderer is the Executive Director of the foundation. HIs leadership established the partnership with the festival in 2017.
