Billed as "St. Louis's Biggest Party," Mardi Gras returns to Soulard, with the Grand Parade scheduled for this Saturday, February 26th. The procession begins at Busch Stadium and proceeds through the streets of Downtown South and Soulard.
Parading this year will be Soulard Pride. Best known for their annual pride pub crawl complete with a fleet of professionally decorated golf carts, (which were also used to shuttle guests at Tower Grover Pride, thanks again!) this krewe of neighbors will join in the 2022 procession, the first pride organization to officially participate in this Mardi Gras tradition, marching proudly as a "pride of lions," roaring through the streets of South St. Louis.
Organizers will have lion masks and manes for participants (while supplies last) and handfuls of beads to toss at the lines of reveling onlookers. Marchers are encouraged to bring extra throws, PG-13 in nature.
So adorn yourself with your proudest attire (the overall theme of the parade is "Roaring 20s") and walk proudly alongside Soulard Pride in the 2022 Mardi Gras Grand Parade! LOOK FOR FLOAT #55 at check-in. Note: Parking is limited, best to arrive by ride share or transit.
